Learning Beyond Classrooms

At SAI International School, effective teaching and meaningful learning thrive at the intersection of theory and practice. Classroom instruction is seamlessly complemented by hands-on laboratory experiences, enabling students to explore concepts deeply, ask questions freely, and gain clarity through experimentation. This integrated approach ensures that learning is not merely memorised, but understood, experienced, and retained for life.

Our laboratories are thoughtfully designed to nurture curiosity, encourage inquiry, and strengthen conceptual understanding. Through experiential learning, students develop critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities, skills essential for success in a rapidly evolving global landscape.

The primary objective of our laboratories is to cultivate SAI Learning Skills and SAI Social Skills, empowering students to rise above the ordinary and emerge as confident global thinkers and leaders.

Benefits of Laboratory Learning

Laboratory teaching transforms abstract ideas into tangible experiences. Experiments and practical activities help students satisfy their natural curiosity, deepen their understanding of subjects, and retain knowledge long after the lesson is complete. By engaging both mind and hand, laboratories foster independent thinking, scientific temperament, teamwork, and innovation.

Experiential learning lies at the heart of our philosophy, and to support this vision, SAI International School offers multiple state-of-the-art laboratories across disciplines.

Our Advanced Laboratories

ATAL Tinkering Lab (ATL)

The Atal Tinkering Lab is a prestigious Government of India initiative by NITI Aayog, established at SAI International School to promote scientific temperament, creativity, and innovation among young learners. ATL introduces students to essential 21st-century skills, preparing them for a future shaped by technology and innovation.

The lab provides hands-on exposure to science, electronics, robotics, open-source microcontrollers, sensors, artificial intelligence, and 3D printing through DIY kits and modern equipment. Students develop skills such as design thinking, computational thinking, adaptive learning, and physical computing.

The ATL at SAI International School encourages a strong do-it-yourself culture, motivating students to become problem solvers and solution providers. It nurtures higher-order thinking skills and lays the foundation for future discoveries, innovations, and inventions, helping every child realise their unique potential.

Robotics Lab

In an era defined by rapid technological advancement, robotics plays a pivotal role in shaping the innovators of tomorrow. The Robotics Lab at SAI International School introduces students to the principles of design, construction, programming, and operation of robots.

Through challenge-based learning, students apply classroom concepts to real-life scenarios, fostering problem-solving skills, logical reasoning, and innovation. Robotics encourages creativity, collaboration, and hands-on exploration, preparing students to confidently face future technological challenges.

Aryabhatta Math Lab

Built on the three pillars of imagination, investigation, and interaction, the Aryabhatta Math Lab transforms mathematics into an engaging and enjoyable experience. With theme-based ambience and innovative teaching aids, the lab allows students to visualise abstract concepts and verify mathematical facts and theorems through hands-on activities.

Students explore, experiment, and learn at their own pace, developing a positive attitude towards mathematics while strengthening analytical and reasoning skills.

International Language Lab

The International Language Lab provides a dynamic environment for effective language learning using the Wordsworth courseware, focusing on the four core skills—reading, writing, listening, and speaking.

Students improve pronunciation, clarity, and fluency by listening to native speakers, recording their own voices, and self-correcting. The lab plays a crucial role in enhancing communication skills and building confidence for global interaction.

Dhyan Chand Sports Lab

The Dhyan Chand Sports Lab is a technologically advanced facility dedicated to sports science, fitness, and performance analysis. Spread across approximately 400 square metres, the lab supports research, training, and testing in strength, speed, conditioning, and overall athletic development.

Complemented by world-class sports infrastructure including football grounds, basketball courts, swimming pools, badminton courts, table tennis, horse riding facilities, and more, the lab nurtures physical excellence alongside scientific understanding.

Performing Arts Lab – Guru Kelucharan Dance Lab

Named in honour of the legendary Odissi dancer and guru, Padma Vibhushan Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra, this lab celebrates movement, rhythm, and expression. Students begin with foundational practices such as aerobics and yoga before progressing to structured dance forms.

As learners grow, they explore choreography, emotional expression, and storytelling through movement, discovering their unique artistic voice while building discipline, confidence, and creativity.

Visual Arts Lab

The Visual Arts Lab nurtures creativity by exposing students to diverse art forms, mediums, and techniques. From sketching and painting to mixed media and craft, students learn to translate imagination into artistic expression.

The lab encourages self-belief, joy in creation, and appreciation of the transformative power of art.

SAI TV

SAI TV offers students hands-on exposure to filmmaking and television production. Through activities such as anchoring, interviews, panel discussions, studio recordings, and outdoor shoots, students gain practical experience in scriptwriting, camera work, editing, lighting, production, and direction.

Based on the four Ps—Planning, Production, Programming, and Publicity—SAI TV fosters teamwork, leadership, creativity, and media literacy.

Radio Orange

SAI International School is proud to be the first school to introduce an in-house radio station: Radio Orange. This unique platform allows students to express ideas, enhance communication skills, and showcase creativity.

Students collaborate weekly to write scripts, produce content, and share campus news under the guidance of teacher mentors, gaining confidence and a strong voice.

Computer Labs

Recognising the importance of technology in modern life, the school houses well-equipped junior and senior computer labs with 250 systems, maintaining a 1:1 student-to-machine ratio.

Students are trained in web applications, Java, C++, Tux Paint, Logo, MS Office, digital presentations, email communication, and database development.

Science Labs

Separate, fully equipped laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology are designed as per CBSE guidelines. These labs provide students with safe, structured environments to explore scientific principles through experiments and observation.
